The art and antique trade has its respectable side, but for most of its practitioners, it is a disreputable affair of clandestine hotel meetings to exchange ill-gotten cash for equally ill-gotten old coins stolen from the ground of some listed ancient monument. And the one thing you must always be sure of in shady dealings is to have backup in the next room, otherwise the deal can turn very sour on you very quickly, leaving you shackled and gagged while your supposed customer runs off with the now twice-stolen antique coins as well as the cash which they had no intention of ever handing over!
